Day of Redemption - REAL LIFE STORIES BOOKS

Jesus gave His Blood, His Life, so all your sins could be forgiven. Jesus paid your penalty for sin; in full.

Now it’s up to you to accept or reject what Jesus has done for you.

God is inviting you into a personal relationship with Him as your Heavenly Father and Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Jesus came to show you the way because you are passionately loved and wanted. Jesus, before He was resurrected, said to His disciples, “…He who has seen me has seen the Father.” John 14:9

If you repent for breaking God’s Law and put your trust in Jesus, when God looks at you, He will not see a liar, a thief, an adulterer, or a law breaker but he will see a person that Jesus has redeemed from the curse of the Law, one that Jesus paid the full penalty for their sin. God will see the Blood of Jesus that has washed you as white as snow. Only through Jesus can you be right with God.

Why Am I Miserable - Real Life Stories Books

There was a great sadness in our home.

The unseen sadness was passed on deep in my psyche.

The great sadness never left me, until...

I grew up with decent parents who took us to church regularly. Christian rules were good for avoiding a lot of trouble. But ever since I can remember, there was a great sadness in our home and in my life. When I was five years old, I remember pretending to be asleep in the car while we drove to my grandparents’ home for the first time because I didn’t want to get out and meet them. Dad was moody. I learned to keep my mouth shut around him. So then he made fun of me for being quiet. Years later, I learned about his abusive childhood. Amazingly he never abused us physically or sexually, but his tongue was sharp and cut my heart and soul. Mom was quiet and never said anything to him about how cruel his words were. My parents struggled from their own unseen abuse and lack of love. They did the best they could, but the unseen sadness was passed on deep in my psyche.

I moved out and went to university. I became a professional with a good job as a single woman. Life looked good, but the great sadness never left me. I continued going to church regularly but found very few true friends there. It was a show. It wasn’t safe to open up about what was really going on. There was no way to get help for doubts and problems because “good church people don’t have problems” supposedly.

Eventually, I married and had kids. The great sadness was mostly hidden. It was so familiar that I just took it for granted as part of life. As life’s stress increased and didn’t let up, the great sadness could no longer be ignored. I was a Christian, somehow walking in spiritual defeat. “God, why doesn’t my life match up to what’s in Your Bible?” “Why am I miserable?” “I want the real deal.”

I went to a Christian freedom retreat weekend and got saved! God never left my side all those years. He led me to His Tree of Life. As an older grey-haired woman, I finally SURRENDERED ALL of me and my life to Him. Everything I own, every person I hold dear, and every bit of my body and soul is His. He is in charge! The great sadness is gone! I feel exhilarated! Just like the people in the Bible, I can tell family and friends this story without feeling shy or embarrassed. It would have been embarrassing to tell people I’ve gone to church and followed the rules but haven’t surrendered to God the Creator! The freedom retreat was simply a place and time for me to bow my head and pray my own words of surrender.

I am happier. I don’t try to guess how things are going to turn out. It’s all in God’s capable hands. I can relax and trust Him. My free time (from not worrying) is welcomed by my family to spend with them. God is taking up the slack. He is replacing my emptiness and trepidation with love and boldness. Over time, it is a slow process of blossoming. Without love, we truly are nothing.

Every now and then, the Devil pours his custom marinade of self-pity over me. Sometimes, I wallow in it for a little while before recognizing it, remembering God is BIGGER than every life circumstance. If I quit, get anxious, or criticize, I am cursing and dishonoring Him. For the rest of my life, God is calling me out to HONOR HIM!

I GOT SO SICK & TIRED OF MY LIFESTYLE - Christian Testimony

In my sophomore year of high school, I started to drink and party. One beer turned to smoking pot. I started to bar hop and get deep into rock and roll music. Between the years of 14-24, I just loved to get drunk and party. My girlfriend was pregnant, we married and we had a daughter, Jennifer. Her mother left me shortly after that. The next three years of my life were lost years. I had no idea of my purpose in life. I played and loved baseball. I tried out for a major league, but I wasn’t good enough to make a living out of it.

At age 21, I started going to different race tracks. It was then that I started gambling and betting on horses. This was the worst time of my life. I loved the high of winning and seeing your horse cross the finish line. But every time I bet, I lost 90% of the time. Even when I won, I would lose the money the next day. I would lose my whole paycheck on those Friday nights and would scrape through the week. Some weeks I would go 6 days a week.

I would remember leaving the race track in 1979 with no money. I started crying out to God. I constantly would think, what is wrong with me? I didn’t realize that God was dealing with me. I know now that the Holy Spirit was showing me the way out of my mess. God was creating in me a clean heart and renewing in me a right spirit. I started hating what I was doing and just started begging God to change my life and help me. I got so sick and tired of my life style. I started hating the bar life and partying. I was tired of getting drunk all the time and being high on drugs. The gambling addiction had messed me up so bad, I never had money. Then, one day I saw this church that I drove by 9 months earlier. I said, I am going to give up this life of sin and I am going to serve God 100%. That week-end I went to the race track that last time and had my last beer. That Sunday morning I went to that church and totally surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I was ready to live like the apostles of old. God’s presence was guiding me and preparing me for a divine appointment with Him. I renounced all my wicked ways. I asked God to deliver me from addictions of gambling, drugs and drinking. I remember just crying and crying because God was totally changing my life. Three days later, a scripture just lifted up my heart. It said, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creation.” I used to always wonder about when people would say, “Are you saved?” I now know what they meant. Old things passed away! For me, that meant drinking, gambling, drugs.

February 2, 1980 Sunday morning, Oh what a day! That was the day when I made an absolute surrender to God. I gave my life to Jesus and I experienced a new life in Christ or Christian Testimony . Old things passed away and all things became new. I use to wonder about that phrase, “born again “what did that mean? I loved God, grew up in a beautiful Christian home, but I had no idea what born again was all about. I knew about God but to have a real relationship, I never knew. I did not know a life like this could exist.

It’s been 35 years now and I have never gone back to those old ways. I now go around sharing the new and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. That sinner, you don’t have to sin anymore! Jesus saves from sin, sickness, and death! Jesus came to restore our lives! God Bless you as you read this and may you find God our Father through Jesus Christ by His power and the wonder working presence of His Holy Spirit. And Jesus would say to you, “Come unto me! Only believe and I will give

Day of Salvation - Real Life Stories

How do I get saved from the curse of the law? How do I get saved from being forever separated from God?

How do I get saved from the Fires of Hell?

1. Admit that you have broken God’s Law.

2. Ask God to forgive you.

3. Confess Jesus as the Son of God.

4. Confess that Jesus died on the cross for your sins.

5. Confess that Jesus arose from the dead.

The Bible says:

“For Salvation Testimonies  that comes from trusting Christ --- which is what we preach --- is already within easy reach of each of us; in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths. For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord, and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation. For the Scriptures tell us that no one who believes in Christ will ever be disappointed. Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect; they all have the same Lord who generously gives his riches to all those who ask him for them. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

I Was Happy-Go-Lucky on the Outside

When I was three, my parents split up, very hateful toward each other. My mom, older sister, and I lived in an apartment on welfare, and my mom babysat "under the table" to survive. My dad and older brother lived on a dairy farm five miles out of town, but we hardly ever saw them. Growing up, the kids who didn't know me teased and bullied me 'cuz I didn't have no father. My mom worked long hours "for peanuts," so my sister and I raised ourselves the best we could. When we moved to a house, we had no hot running water, no bathroom toilet or tub, no refrigerator for a long time, no phone or TV, and no car. I always wanted to feel loved and be a part of a family.

So I started carelessly dating. I got a girl pregnant at 16 and we married and had our first child two months after I turned 17. I went to work immediately at my father's farm who smoked and was very sick with cancer. It was a very promising time of my life to be in love with my new wife and to be close with my dad! Too soon, I found myself even praying that he would die and be out of his misery. My older brother took over the farm, so we were out of a job and had to move back in with my mom in town.

The Vietnam War was firing up, and finally seeing my need to get an education, I tried to join the Army when I turned 18. I was a big strong guy, but I was disqualified because I had a wife and

child. Another rejection! It was probably really a blessing because many of my friends who were drafted went and were killed or disable and messed up real bad on drugs and alcohol from the horrible things they experienced, and they were rejected, mocked, and called "baby-killers" after they got back! Sad! A very sick time! We struggled for the next several years, farming and truck driving, moving and three more babies, bills and hard work and no hope in sight. The only thing that had kept me going was feeling the responsibility and commitment to provide for my family, but at 24 years old, struggling to make ends meet, I was at the end of my rope!

I had left New York State defeated, heading to Florida, packing up my family to follow a "successful friend" to find a "successful job" driving tractor-trailer double. It was a continuous breaking down where it seemed nothing was working. The job fell through--NO WORK! The car was in bad shape, little food, a run-down shack for a home. I took what work I could find as a farm-hand. My depression and discouragement increased. I was failing! Even on top of all that, I was happy-go-lucky...on the outside.

One day, a co-worker was moving, so I volunteered to help. Having cold lemonade together afterward, one of the others made a statement about a Protestant friend who died and went to hell! I jumped quickly to defend this person because I was brought up Protestant and thought everybody went to heaven, but I had no Bible knowledge. Soon while in sharp debate, a religiously-dressed lady was walking by and they called out for her to come in. She opened the Bible and as she started to read, something warm like liquid LOVE flowed into my being and knocked me right down to the floor where a vision of the many good things from my whole life flashed before me! When I came to my senses about 45 minutes later, I had been face-down in a puddle of tears and spit and slop from squalling, but now I felt free with the burden lifted off me, like a new person!

The first thing they said was that the Holy Spirit was ON me, but the debate starts, again! I am truly experiencing something internal in my very being. They said, "No it's just ON you" but I know what I'm feeling inside! My joints felt like they were on fire throughout my whole body--like being electrified! What came directly to my mind

was a little red Bible my kids had from Sunday School. So I rudely left the debate and ran full-steam a mile or so back to my house! As I came flying through the door, my startled wife asked what had happened to me, saying there was a glow around me. I had no idea what had happened, but I knew I had to find that little red Bible, and began desperately ransacking the place. I found it and began to study it. I had never really read one before. I realized I had experienced God and was baptized in His Spirit, and was never the same, again! I could hear His voice and sense his direction! I was set free from my old way of thinking! Hallelu Yah!

I was so changed, that the people on the job wanted to know what had happened to me! My cussing had stopped and I would share what God had done for me. After a while, even the boss got upset, warning me that if I kept talking about the Lord, he'd have to let me go. I was just answering their questions but it got me fired as the Lord began to do amazing things to move us, teach us, and use us...even years later, seeing miracles and healings during mission trips in Africa and India! My life of 77 years has been filled with many Christian Testimonies of His great love and works, though in recent years I kind of lost some of that fire. Hearing about these other testimonies helped me write one myself for the first time! It's getting me all fired up again, and I'm "coming out of the closet!"

The importance of our Testimony Books is written in Rev. 12:11 where God says "They overcame (the Accuser/Devil) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death." In Mark 5:19, the man who Jesus had cast a legion of demons out was told to go to his friends and tell them the great compassion God had and the great things He had done for him", and "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in Him" (1 John 4:15). So keep telling the wonderful things He has done which preserves His presence and power to overcome in you! Hallelu Yah!

Testimony Books help in the making of a Disciple

Do Real Life Stories Testimony Books help in the making of a disciple?
It is very hard to disciple people in this day and age because it takes time and commitment. Jesus discipled people for 2 or 3 years. There is no way we can get people to make that kind of commitment today.

To be able to disciple someone, you must get some kind of a commitment from them. We have found that if you can get a Christian to commit to write out their testimony and share it daily, this commitment sets the stage for the Holy Spirit to disciple them!

The first thing we challenge people to do in our 12-part Discipleship Training series is to commit to writing their testimony and being a part of a Real Life Stories Christian Testimony Book.

The second thing we do is challenge people to carry two copies of the Real Life Stories Christian Testimony in their hand every time they leave their home and every time they get out of their car.

The third thing we do is challenge them to ask the Holy Spirit to help them in the giving away of the books!

The commitment to carry the books, joined with the commitment to ask the Holy Spirit to help them, sets the stage for the Holy Spirit to be active in their life!

If a person is always carrying the Gospel message with them in the form of a Real Life Stories Christian Testimony Book, they are always trusting in the Holy Spirit to help them! This gives the Holy Spirit total access to all their Time and Daily Life!
What we accomplish during our 12 Discipleship Sessions is getting a strong commitment from the person being discipled to allow the Holy Spirit to led them into Living a Witnessing Tracts Lifestyle!

Stories Of Hope- I Don’t Have to Be Strong Anymore

I thought I was strong and independent. I had good parents. They loved me and supported my decisions. I grew up in the 1970’s. My mom put me on birth control pills at the age of 16. That was what a lot of parents did at that time. The problem was I was so forgetful. I married my high school sweetheart and had a baby at 18. My husband went away to college, and I joined the navy. My mother kept our baby. As time went on, the distance between us grew. Physical abuse became a factor, and we divorced. My 1st marriage didn’t work. I remarried and got divorced a second time.

After making poor choices and picking the wrong men, I found myself alone with 5 children and child support for only one of them. Thank God, I still had my mom and dad. No matter what went wrong in my life I always blamed myself.  I can remember bearing all the weight when things went wrong. I wanted my dad to be proud of me, so I did my best to take care of my children. I thought in order to be responsible, I had to be the mother and the father. I took on male dominated jobs. I served 4 years in the navy. I drove a bus for C.T.A. I worked as a counselor/correctional officer. I had a job laying tile for six years. The only bad thing about being the only woman working with men is you become like them: hard, strong, and tough. They respect you when you pull your weight. I was so good at it, my children would tell me,

“Happy Father’s Day.” One day, my mother called me up to tell me she was back in school. I said, “Good, what are you studying?”

She said, “I am going to school to be a minister.”  I replied, “What, and what for?” I instantly got angry. I couldn’t understand why I got so mad. I loved my mom. She told me she was leaving the Catholic Church to attend an Apostolic Church. That seemed to upset me even more. The little time I spent in church was okay, even though I didn’t understand Latin or care what was on the other side of the confession box. I felt threatened. My mother encouraged me to come to church with her. I came back home and decided I’d try this new church thing. I didn’t like it. The music was sad. It made me cry and feel uncomfortable. My mother was a different woman. She was always reading the bible, praying, and writing about God.

My dad died in 2005, and my mom died six months later. When my mom died, it was so hard. She didn’t have insurance, and we had no money for a funeral. I felt awful. Soul Winning Tracts The pressure was all on me to do something. Then, God came through. We received help from family, friends, coworkers, the funeral home, the bank, and my daughter’s little league team. Only God could do this. Everything works out according to His plan for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. After that, I started going to church. I decided I was going to serve God. At first, I was a terrible servant. I was still dragging along my sins, but God was patient and loving with me. God became more than a mother and father. He also gave me a spiritual mother named Mother Williams who taught me about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. She taught me how to fall in love with God and what it is like to live for Him. God also answered my prayers by giving me a wonderful husband who loves us. God is my everything. I don’t have to be strong anymore. God is strong for me, and He is responsible for my life. He can be your everything too.  True stories of hope from REAL LIFE STORIES inspire and encourage.

Real Life Stories - I Was Kind of a Loner

Growing up, I was a very shy and quiet little girl who loved music. I was raised in the church, functioned in several positions, and knew church protocol. Every Sunday, we were there and at least once more during the week. There were a lot of revivals, and we would attend church for the entire week.

I come from a family of singers and musicians on both my dad’s and my mom’s side. At an early age, my sister and I were singing songs such as, “How Big is God.” I continued to sing in church for many years during my youth because that’s what you did where I came from. I sang in the choir. I sang about God and heard about God, but I did not know God. I did not have a relationship with him. I had felt God’s presence before, especially when I would sing to Him, but I really didn’t know the God that I was singing to or about.

From a child until well into young adulthood, I was kind of a loner. I felt like I was different from most of the people I was around, but I didn’t understand why. I wasn’t a very sociable person. Music was my passion, but even when I would sing in church, I would close my eyes and not look at the audience because of my shyness. In my latter teenage years, the Lord began to draw my heart and reveal Himself to me. At the age of 19, I gave my heart to God and started to develop a relationship with Him. I was very eager to learn more about Him.  I always wanted to be in His presence because I would have such peace, joy and contentment.

When I became a Christian, my life was transformed, mind, body and spirit. Everything started changing. God started showing me that He really was God. One of the first miracles I experienced was God healing my oldest daughter when she was around 4 years old. I was very young in Christ and didn’t have the knowledge of intercession that I have now, but I believed in healing. A fellow sister in Christian Tracts, my daughter Catherine, and I were out of town at a church convention. Catherine accidentally knocked over the iron on herself, and the circle imprints from the iron were embedded into her face. My friend and I began to pray and call on Jesus. To our amazement, God began to remove those imprints out of my daughter’s face, right in front of us. We never took her to the hospital, and there weren’t any scars on her face. Watching God heal my daughter immediately increased my faith in Him tremendously.

God proved Himself to me again. I was driving to the mall to return an item. I drove my dad’s car, and I was unaware my dad had been working on the exhaust system. My sister, brother, and oldest daughter accompanied me. They waited in the car that was running because it was the middle of winter. When I returned to the car, my daughter was laying on the floor of the car. My sister was unconscious, and my brother who was in the front was barely responding. I knew something was seriously wrong but didn’t know what it was. It never occurred to me to go to the hospital.  I began driving to my pastor’s house to pray. As I was driving, the Holy Spirit said, “Roll the windows down.” It was winter time, and I didn’t understand why I should roll the windows down, yet I obeyed. I made it to my pastor’s house, and they prayed with me. God blessed all three of them. We went to the hospital afterwards to get them checked, and everyone was fine. I later asked God about that situation. He replied, “Be still and know that I am God.”

I have always loved to sing, but God had deposited in me a gift to write songs. I was writing songs for a while without realizing I was even doing it. God had a divine purpose to use me to usher a spirit of worship in the midst of His people. He has birthed songs in me that exemplified His true character and His great love for us.

I am no longer the quiet and shy person I used to be. God has given me a confidence I never knew existed. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I now know that I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. I have been blessed to minister this wonderful gospel message through the avenue of music for many years. I now sing in the spirit and with an understanding of Who God really am. Not only do I sing to and for Him, but I have learned to worship him. Learning to worship God has catapulted my life and my relationship with Him into an entirely different dimension.
Just when I finally became comfortable singing in front of audiences, God made a shift and started positioning me to declare and preach His word. I was very uncomfortable with that. It definitely was NOT my preference. I said, “God, you know how long it took me to accept my calling to sing, now this?” In spite of how I felt, I obeyed. Now, I realize what a privilege and honor it is to proclaim a life-changing gospel that transforms people’s lives. I am so blessed that God empowers me to share good news with people that feel like good news doesn’t even exist. I have had the privilege of ministering at prisons, monthly at the Salvation Army, nursing homes, etc. Sharing the good news that God loves us and wants us to have abundant life brings me great joy.

I have been married for 32 years. My husband and I have four beautiful and anointed children. God called my husband to pastor the ministry that He birthed through us called Pure Gospel Tracts. Our children work with us in the ministry. God continuously blesses me and my family. He continues to reveal more and more of Himself to us daily. I am grateful to Him for what He is presently doing in my life, and I am excited about my future in Him
