Developing Your Own Real Life Stories Testimony Book

 

This is the Process and Cost of Developing a Real Life Stories Christian Testimony Book When a Church Partners with Step by Step Ministries

The process starts by teaching people how to write their testimony and placing it into a 3-fold flyer, as pictured above.  The Testimony is to be between 1000 and 1100 words and provided to us in a Word Document. We will provide exact instructions as to how to properly prepare a testimony. This 3-fold flyer can then be used with our books pictured below until such a time that person’s story is in a book.

 

There is a $25 charge per story to edit and layout the Discipleship Resources in a 3-fold flyer. After editing, we send the file to the church to take to a local print shop to make copies. When a church partners with us, they can purchase and use our books at the very low price of $100 for 3 cases of books, plus shipping.  There 60 to 70 books in a case, depending on which books they are.

 

A New book will contain between 25 and 30 testimonies and have a total of 96 pages. This has proven to be the most cost-effective book size to print and distribute. We will print 40,000 copies. This is the quantity needed to keep the price down to a point of being able to afford to freely give them away.  The cost of 40,000 books, including typesetting, editing, and cover design is about $16,000. This comes to about .40 cents per book (plus shipping), making the book a very affordable tool for witnessing.
 
Just before the books are ordered, the local church pays their half, $8,000, directly to the printing company.  Step By Step Ministries pays the other half, $8,000.  When the books are printed, the partnering church is billed for their shipping cost, which must be paid before the books ship. At that time, 20,000 books are shipped to the partnering
Church, and 20,000 books are shipped to Step By Step Ministries.
 
When Step by Step Ministries receives their 20,000 books, we donate to 5000 of those books to another ministry called Love Packages. Love Packages loads the books on cargo containers and ships them to impoverished English-speaking people in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean Islands. So when a local church partners with us they not only reach the local community, they reach the World!
 
In addition to this, we have a Team of people using our books all over the United States and Canada!

Holy Spirit Was Showing Me The Way Out Of My Mess

 

In my sophomore year of high school, I started to drink and party. One beer turned to smoking pot. I started to bar hop and get deep into rock and roll music. Between the years of 14-24, I just loved to get drunk and party. My girlfriend was pregnant, we married and we had a daughter, Jennifer. Her mother left me shortly after that. The next three years of my life were lost years. I had no idea of my purpose in life. I played and loved baseball. I tried out for a major league, but I wasn’t good enough to make a living out of it.

At age 21, I started going to different race tracks. It was then that I started gambling and betting on horses. This was the worst time of my life. I loved the high of winning and seeing your horse cross the finish line. But every time I bet, I lost 90% of the time. Even when I won, I would lose the money the next day. I would lose my whole paycheck on those Friday nights and would scrape through the week. Some weeks I would go 6 days a week.

I would remember leaving the race track in 1979 with no money. I started crying out to God. I constantly would think, what is wrong with me? I didn’t realize that God was dealing with me with Salvation Tracts. I know now that the Holy Spirit was showing me the way out of my mess.

God was creating in me a clean heart and renewing in me a right spirit.

I started hating what I was doing and just started begging God to change my life and help me. I got so sick and tired of my life style. I started hating the bar life and partying. I was tired of getting drunk all the time and being high on drugs. The gambling addiction had messed me up so bad, I never had money. Then, one day I saw this church that I drove by 9 months earlier. I said, I am going to give up this life of sin and I am going to serve God 100%. That week-end I went to the race track that last time and had my last beer. That Sunday morning I went to that church and totally surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I was ready to live like the apostles of old. God’s presence was guiding me and preparing me for a divine appointment with Him. I renounced all my wicked ways. I asked God to deliver me from addictions of gambling, drugs and drinking. I remember just crying and crying because God was totally changing my life. Three days later, a scripture just lifted up my heart. It said, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creation.” I used to always wonder about when people would say, “Are you saved?” I now know what they meant. Old things passed away! For me, that meant drinking, gambling, drugs.

February 2, 1980 Sunday morning, Oh what a day! That was the day when I made an absolute surrender to God. I gave my life to Jesus and I experienced a new life in Christian Testimony. Old things passed away and all things became new. I use to wonder about that phrase, “born again “what did that mean? I loved God, grew up in a beautiful Christian home, but I had no idea what born again was all about. I knew about God but to have a real relationship, I never knew. I did not know a life like this could exist.

It’s been 35 years now and I have never gone back to those old ways. I now go around sharing the new and everlasting Gospel Tracts of Jesus Christ. That sinner, you don’t have to sin anymore! Jesus saves from sin, sickness, and death! Jesus came to restore our lives! God Bless you as you read this and may you find God our Father through Jesus Christ by His power and the wonder working presence of His Holy Spirit. And Jesus would say to you, “Come unto me! Only believe and I will give and show you everlasting life. Behold! I am with you!

Real Life Stories - I Was Kind of a Loner

Growing up, I was a very shy and quiet little girl who loved music. I was raised in the church, functioned in several positions, and knew church protocol. Every Sunday, we were there and at least once more during the week. There were a lot of revivals, and we would attend church for the entire week. 

I come from a family of singers and musicians on both my dad’s and my mom’s side. At an early age, my sister and I were singing songs such as, “How Big is God.” I continued to sing in church for many years during my youth because that’s what you did where I came from. I sang in the choir. I sang about God and heard about God, but I did not know God. I did not have a relationship with him. I had felt God’s presence before, especially when I would sing to Him, but I really didn’t know the God that I was singing to or about. 

From a child until well into young adulthood, I was kind of a loner. I felt like I was different from most of the people I was around, but I didn’t understand why. I wasn’t a very sociable person. Music was my passion, but even when I would sing in church, I would close my eyes and not look at the audience because of my shyness. In my latter teenage years, the Lord began to draw my heart and reveal Himself to me. At the age of 19, I gave my heart to God and started to develop a relationship with Him. I was very eager to learn more about Him.  I always wanted to be in His presence because I would have such peace, joy and contentment. 

When I became a Christian, my life was transformed, mind, body and spirit. Everything started changing. God started showing me that He really was God. One of the first miracles I experienced was God healing my oldest daughter when she was around 4 years old. I was very young in Christ and didn’t have the knowledge of intercession that I have now, but I believed in healing. A fellow sister in Christian Tracts, my daughter Catherine, and I were out of town at a church convention. Catherine accidentally knocked over the iron on herself, and the circle imprints from the iron were embedded into her face. My friend and I began to pray and call on Jesus. To our amazement, God began to remove those imprints out of my daughter’s face, right in front of us. We never took her to the hospital, and there weren’t any scars on her face. Watching God heal my daughter immediately increased my faith in Him tremendously. 

God proved Himself to me again. I was driving to the mall to return an item. I drove my dad’s car, and I was unaware my dad had been working on the exhaust system. My sister, brother, and oldest daughter accompanied me. They waited in the car that was running because it was the middle of winter. When I returned to the car, my daughter was laying on the floor of the car. My sister was unconscious, and my brother who was in the front was barely responding. I knew something was seriously wrong but didn’t know what it was. It never occurred to me to go to the hospital.  I began driving to my pastor’s house to pray. As I was driving, the Holy Spirit said, “Roll the windows down.” It was winter time, and I didn’t understand why I should roll the windows down, yet I obeyed. I made it to my pastor’s house, and they prayed with me. God blessed all three of them. We went to the hospital afterwards to get them checked, and everyone was fine. I later asked God about that situation. He replied, “Be still and know that I am God.” 

I have always loved to sing, but God had deposited in me a gift to write songs. I was writing songs for a while without realizing I was even doing it. God had a divine purpose to use me to usher a spirit of worship in the midst of His people. He has birthed songs in me that exemplified His true character and His great love for us. 

I am no longer the quiet and shy person I used to be. God has given me a confidence I never knew existed. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I now know that I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. I have been blessed to minister this wonderful gospel message through the avenue of music for many years. I now sing in the spirit and with an understanding of Who God really am. Not only do I sing to and for Him, but I have learned to worship him. Learning to worship God has catapulted my life and my relationship with Him into an entirely different dimension. 

Just when I finally became comfortable singing in front of audiences, God made a shift and started positioning me to declare and preach His word. I was very uncomfortable with that. It definitely was NOT my preference. I said, “God, you know how long it took me to accept my calling to sing, now this?” In spite of how I felt, I obeyed. Now, I realize what a privilege and honor it is to proclaim a life-changing gospel that transforms people’s lives. I am so blessed that God empowers me to share good news with people that feel like good news doesn’t even exist. I have had the privilege of ministering at prisons, monthly at the Salvation Army, nursing homes, etc. Sharing the good news that God loves us and wants us to have abundant life brings me great joy. 

I have been married for 32 years. My husband and I have four beautiful and anointed children. God called my husband to pastor the ministry that He birthed through us called Pure Gospel Tracts. Our children work with us in the ministry. God continuously blesses me and my family. He continues to reveal more and more of Himself to us daily. I am grateful to Him for what He is presently doing in my life, and I am excited about my future in Him

Is This What Life Is Really About Salvation Tracts?

I owned a successful fleet of semi-trucks. I served six successful years in the United States Army. I graduated from Airborne and Ranger School. I reached the rank of Staff-Sergeant. I thought, “Life has to be for something else, for something better than this.” I was considered to be a medium-class productive member of society who owned a successful fleet of semi-trucks and contributed positively to the economy.  Prior to that, I served six successful years in the United States Army.  I had the privilege of graduating from Airborne and Ranger School and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff-Sergeant.  Any time I saw someone in need of help, I always volunteered to help without expecting anything in return.  I always made sure not to hurt nor take advantage of anyone.  Anyone who knew me knew they could depend on me for anything they needed help with.   

As a young entrepreneur, I had the ambition for success.  I was about to achieve what many strive to achieve; a stable and comfortable financial income to supplement a comfortable lifestyle.  I realized that once I accomplished what I set out to do, I would be in a position where I could retire at an early age, which would be 32 at that time.  I began to ask myself, “Is this what life is really about, becoming successful, retiring, traveling, and that’s it?  That’s what society teaches us that life is about?  How sad and boring that is!  Life has to be for something else, something better than this!” 

I then realized I had been blinded by pursuing what I had been taught to pursue since I was young.  My parents, school, TV influence, friends, and neighbors; from all of them, I learned to pursue financial

Stability, a beautiful family, and success. Once I had achieved it, I realized they were wrong.  I found it easy to achieve all that, and it was when I achieved it that I realized I must really find out what life is really about.   

As a cultural born Roman-Catholic, I never really attended church or prayed.  All I did everyday was to thank God and symbolize honor and respect towards Him by sliding my right hand, forming a cross as I touched my forehead, down to my heart, then to my left shoulder and finishing in my right shoulder.  That’s what I was taught to do ever since I could remember.  I didn’t know how to actually pray to God.  But when I found myself in the life situation I described, I finally found myself talking to God.  I looked at the sky and asked, “God, if You exist, is this what life is really about?  Is this it?  Get rich and enjoy life?  It can’t be!  It was too easy to accomplish success, and now that I’m about to accomplish, what I consider, full and permanent success, I find it boring to keep on living with no more challenges in life! Many would call it financial freedom.  If this is it, life is boring and has no purpose!  What is life really about Bibles Tracts ?”  

If there was anything negative or bad about me at that time, it would be that almost every weekend I would get drunk with beer, eat pizza and chicken wings, and watch boxing on HBO.  That was pretty much my ritual on weekends as a form of relaxation from every week’s hard work.  My wife, at the time, would support me with it.  She seemed to be proud of the life I had provided to her and our children.  Her only complaint was that I would put my business before our family.  She was right, but I just couldn’t understand it at that time.  I felt that if I didn’t put business first, I would be putting at risk the comfortable lifestyle I was providing.  

To my surprise, I later realized God did hear me when I started to talk to Him. After the first time I began talking to God, I kept telling and asking Him more things.  I suddenly felt in my heart to ask Him if I’m really supposed to go to a church, and if so, which church should I go to.  I asked God such questions because I literally would not trust any man or any church organization.  I knew God heard me speak to Him when my business began to do poorly.  I actually began to lose business, and my company fleet size began to decrease.  I had begun toread the bible and realized that God was actually testing me according to some stories I had read from the bible.  In other words, I knew God began to test my faith because I was asking Him to show me who He is.   

I ended up losing my business, my marriage, and my properties.  But in the midst of it all, somehow, I just knew God was in control of everything in my life.  Just by believing that, a great peace came over my life.  But more than that, the peace had come inside of me.  I now know, it is the Spirit of Christ that came in me when I prayed for Him to be my Lord and Savior and told Him I want to follow Him with all my heart.  My wife at that time did not take me losing my business lightly and began to act and behave very strange towards me.  Little did I know, she had been actively involved with witchcraft for a long time.  Since I was always focused on my business, I never realized the weird things she used to do had to do with witchcraft.  Eventually, she did not want to be with me any longer.  I returned to school to pursue my bachelor’s degree and also became involved with an evangelical church.  My new lifestyle did not suit her needs, and she could not accept the fact that I would have joy and peace through the new changes in our life.   

I began to serve in the church I attended five to six days during the week. God introduced me to the manifestation of His divine power by allowing me to be exposed to life miracles, signs, and wonders.  After being in the Army for six years and owning my own company for another five years, being introduced to my real boss filled me with excitement and motivation.  When I realized that everything written in the Holy Bible is true, I committed myself one hundred percent and began to devote myself to serve the Lord.   

I am now an ordained minister of God who serves our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ everywhere I go.  Eight years after losing my business, I am finally starting my own trucking company again, but this time with the help of God.  Now, the purpose of the company I’m starting is to support the Church of God.  The difference now from before is that before, I did everything for my own benefit.  Now, I do everything for the benefit of others in the name of our Lord,  Salvation Tracts, and God Jesus Christ.  I used to be a good person before I met our Lord Jesus

Christ…a good person on my way to hell.  Now, I know I am not good, for only Jesus Christ is good.  All I can do now is continue to live righteously to glorify and honor our only and true God and enter heaven when I leave this world. God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ - Christian Tracts.
